BIO

It must have been my first Konica, bought around 1979, that helped fuel my passion for photography. Whether I was photographing the mannequins in my father's store or friends at home, I've always been drawn to the picture taking experience. Plus, I can't draw.

I took an 11-year detour to work in advertising, first as an art director at Macy's New York, and later, as Vice President/Creative Director of Jordan Marsh, a chain of nineteen department stores in New England. I also worked as Creative Director of the catalog agency Case Hoyt and as a Vice President/Senior Art Director at Hill Holliday. I didn't realize at the time that these experiences were going to help my later calling.

Now, I have a great studio in downtown Boston and take pictures of fashion, people, things, places, stuff. I shoot some editorial, some commercial work, all interesting, all with state-of-the-art equipment. I try to imbue each shot with something unique to make it come alive, whether it's a cat, a model or a tea kettle. I think it's that extra effort that sets my work apart.

I work with a great studio support team and can offer large or small productions, all done with style, on time and on budget. Oh yea, and easy parking in Boston!

A few random facts:

• I spent time photographing Justice Sandra Day O'Conner and Senator Diane Feinstein, both for a children's book series.

• I co-wrote a small hit musical, The Paisley Sister's Christmas Special. Check out the website: www.paisleysisters.com.

• I photographed Caroline Kennedy's doll collection from her time in the White House for a special exhibit at the Kennedy Presidential Library.
